recover. reset. rebuild.

Whether you're hauling crash pads to Squamish or gripping handlebars up Cypress, your body takes a beating. At Elios, Health our RMTs don’t just go through the motions — they dig deep, literally. We combine sport science with hands-on treatment to help you recover faster, move better, and stay in your element longer.

what we do

Our Registered Massage Therapy sessions are fully individualized. This isn’t spa-style fluff — it’s deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and trigger point work tailored to your sport, your history, and your goals. We address chronic pain, nerve entrapments, tension headaches, and stubborn shoulder impingements — and we’re not afraid of a little scar tissue. We aim for real recovery — not just short-term relief.

reasons you book in:

  • Post-climb forearm tension that won’t quit

  • Nagging low back pain from desk life or deadlifts

  • Hip flexor tightness from big days in the saddle

  • Tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, or nerve pain

  • General wear and tear from training hard and living harder

Our team brings precision to every treatment. As a athletes themselves, our team gets what high-performance recovery really means. Whether you're dealing with overuse injuries, building back from a strain, or just need to breathe easier in your own skin, our sessions are focused, informed, and effective.

not just any RMT clinic

Located just off Main Street Vancouver, our space is designed for athletes, climbers, cyclists, and movement enthusiasts who need more than a cookie-cutter massage. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with physios, naturopaths and acupuncturists to keep you on the rock, trail, and turf.

If your body's sending signals, don’t ignore them. Get on the table, get assessed, and get a plan. Massage therapy on Main Street — but for the kind of people who don't sit still for long.

RMTs aren’t just “massage people”

Becoming an RMT in British Columbia isn’t easy — nor should it be. It means grinding through years of clinical training, thousands of hours of hands-on practice, and passing some of the toughest board exams in Canada. It’s anatomy, pathology, neurology, and critical thinking — not candles and spa music.

Our massage therapists are movement-literate, trauma-informed, and equipped to assess and treat real conditions — from scar tissue and joint restrictions to nerve pain and repetitive strain. They have passed a multi-component registration (entry to practice) examination administered by the College of Complementary Health Professionals (CCHPBC).

CCHPBC registrants are regulated under the Health Professions Act, the Massage Therapists Regulation, and the College’s Bylaws. Massage therapists are required to abide by standards of practice and standards of professional ethics, and to meet the College’s continuing competence requirements.  These and other requirements are designed to ensure that BC RMTs provide safe, ethical and effective health care to the public. Our Main Street physiotherapy clinic also features bodyworkers - professionals who have been trained as RMTs in Vancouver, but are waiting for complete their final board exams. Their bodywork massage rates are often lower, and provide an opportunity for people without benefits to access quality care.

Our Vancouver Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) are important practitioners to support recovery, self-care, and athletic performance. RMTs understand how to support clients towards their physical and mental well-being with a variety of musculoskeletal techniques, using techniques including Swedish and Active Release. Our massage therapists help athletes and also people affected by office work and stress. A number of our practitioners are specialists in rock climbing and upper body pain.

relaxation massage

Relaxation doesn’t mean passive. Our version is more reset than retreat — a deliberate downshift for nervous systems on overdrive. Whether you're climbing five days a week or stuck in meetings back-to-back, this treatment slows your breathing, eases chronic tension, and restores your baseline.

We use Swedish techniques, rhythmic soft tissue work, and nervous system-focused touch to dial back the static and help you actually rest. Expect deep calm, not just surface-level chill.

Great for: stress reduction, tension headaches, grinding jaw tension, and reconnecting to your body. Hot stone massage is covered by benefits when performed by and RMT like Taylor Barnett.

RMT for sports

This is where massage meets performance. Whether you're in a training cycle, tapering for a comp, or managing a nagging tendinopathy, this treatment targets what’s holding you back. Our RMTs combine sports massage, deep tissue release, active stretching, and functional assessment to treat the demands of your sport — not just your symptoms.

We work with climbers, cyclists, rowers, lifters, and runners — helping you reduce injury risk, improve range of motion, and stay consistent in your training.

Great for: overuse injuries, scar tissue, recovery between sessions, and improving tissue quality. You can also look for sports massage, which is a reduced price and length.

recovery massage

You’ve trained. You’re sore. You’re not about to stop. That’s where recovery massage comes in. This is for athletes who want to stay in motion, not stuck in rehab. We help flush out metabolic waste, improve circulation, and reset your tissues before the next round.

This isn’t a once-a-year luxury — it’s a tool for staying sharp.

Great for: post-event recovery, DOMS, soft tissue congestion, and staying loose during intense cycles.
